New!

Are you curious about writing and publishing?

Writing has been one of my favorite things to do for a long time. When I was seven, I created a tiny book about a girl and her pet donkey. "Revising" consisted of tearing it apart and taping it back together.

Now I write picture books, poetry, and novels for kids. I also teach at the Vermont College MFA Program in Writing for Children and Young Adults and review children’s books for The Washington Post,  Washington Parent, and online for the National Wildlife Federation.
